SEAG Access Arrangements: A Guide for Parents
If your child has specific learning, medical or physical needs, you may be able to request access arrangements for the SEAG Entrance Assessment. These are adjustments that help children demonstrate their ability without being disadvantaged.
Access Arrangements are reasonable adjustments made for children with specific significant needs—such as learning difficulties, medical conditions or disabilities—so they can take the SEAG test fairly.
Common adjustments include:
- Extra time (with or without breaks)
- Use of a scribe or reader pen
- Smaller group rooms or physical support items
- Coloured overlays or reading rulers
- Bilingual dictionaries (if eligible)
- Read the official SEAG Access Arrangements Policy.
- Submit your application and all evidence before the deadline.
- Ensure the arrangement reflects your child's normal way of working at school.
- Provide recent, verified evidence (from school or professionals) supporting your child’s needs.
- Visit the official SEAG website.
- Download or access the Access Arrangements Application Form.
- Complete the form and upload required evidence (IEPs, PLPs, medical letters, etc.).
- Submit it via the Access Portal before the deadline.
If your child has an injury or short-term issue near the time of the assessment, you can apply for Emergency Access Arrangements. This must be done via a separate online form closer to the test date.
